An ambitious plan saw this redundant former psychiatric hospital being converted into sheltered accommodation with new build housing incorporated sensitively into the extensive grounds of the hospital. These proposals called for the sensitive handling of mature trees on site, designed vistas and the site’s location on the edge of the Cambrian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
